From the first year on, your baby has good control of his hands, which benefits his eye-hand coordination. With regards to motor skills, when the toddler starts walking, he usually grabs a toy and takes it with him, considering it as a support for walking. ​​​​​​​He communicates with his surroundings through sounds and small words that are, for the most part, not understood by his environment. He is able to flip pages of books, recognize some of his body parts, and build a tower of three or four cubes.
